My latest update, one topic at a time...
RJD2-
DJ and producing legend RJD2 just released his new album, Colossus, in January. I directed/produced a music video for the track "The Glow." As you'll see, many toys went into the making of this video, which I mostly shopped for in 99cent stores across American on my other gigs. I'm just happy now that the project is over, that I no longer have to go through the security line with a stash full of barbie dolls in my bag. That got a little weird.
MTV-
Started shooting a new series for MTV which has me traveling on the road quite heavily. Between all the connecting flights with puddle jumpers galore, I believe I've seen the people of the world turn into tiny ants on lift-off and return to a 1:1 scale once again upon landing over 100 times. And every single time when I have a window seat, like a 10 year old, I get excited and have my face plastered to the window. Don't think that swift change of perspective will ever get old for me.
Subway-
Good 'ol branded entertainment. Subway, always "keepin' it fresh" did a collab with MTV Iggy of artists across the country who keep it fresh. I had a chance to film with Quest Crew again for this project, as well as DJ Homeboy Sandman.
New York-
Brad Hasse and Bradonio Productions now call New York home once again. Things started up bi-coastal between September to December, and then I finally made the official move in mid-December. I've been warned heavily about settling into the city for the winter, but so far actually love it. Life is good with seasons and some extremes. Although I've been on the road for a lot of it, half my destinations haven't exactly been much warmer either. So, here's me tipping a proverbial glass to winter, so far... your icy touch makes me feel oh so good.
August, 2009- Back on the road again... this will be a 24 hour travel day to make it back out to the south of Italy to present the work I created for the Maratea Film Festival. I've already had my "fall asleep before the plane even takes off" nap, and now it's time for a $5 sandwich with meat that, if it weren't for me putting it in my belly, could have survived even an atomic war.
I fly, I ride a train, I hop in a car, I drop off my bags, and then it's off to the festival an hour later. To kick off the festival there is a video by Francis Ford Coppola on the region of Basilicata (the region in which the town of Maratea calls home). And up next will be the work that I created for the festival. Who would have thought that my inability to properly pronounce words in Italian would have progressively be turning into such a good career opportunity? Well, Arnold Schwarzenegger did it in America, I mine as well capitalize on it in Italy.

August, 2009- In Phoenix to direct another campaign with the Knoodle agency. The campaign "Dine4AZ.com" for Shamrock Foods will be airing in September.
August, 2009- Been awhile since I've posted any updates. The good news is that this is because I've been slammed over the past few months with projects, the bad news is that it means that I no longer know what "sleep" means. I'm happily taking the trade off though.
Here are some highlights...
-Current TV -Editing a doc for the Vanguard series, to be aired this fall.
-Quest Crew (winners of America's Best Dance Crew on MTV) -Created their new promo video.
-Circuito Off Film Festival (Venice, Italy) -"Sorry... I'm Still Learning Italian" was accepted into the festival. This will be my second year in a row that something has played there. New goal: hat trick in 2010.
-NAMM "Wanna Play" competition -Teamed up with Chanel Eakin and won first place for our video "The Gift."

-United Colors of Benetton -Completed some videos for the "Hello World" campaign, showing on the front page of the site and soon in stores worldwide.

February, 2009- I filmed a lot with MTV Iggy again this month, including pieces with actors Daniel Henney (from the new X-Men film), John Cho (Harold and Kumar, Star Trek), Kristin Kreuk (Smallville), Bai Ling (Crank: High Voltage), and the musical artist BoA from Korea. We also opened up the Getty Museum for a day and shot stand-ups for the Iggy show with host Angela Sun.
Here's Angela and I kindly working with each other...
All clips either are available or will be available soon on www.MTVIggy.com.
February, 2009- Filmed at the Indie Spirit Awards with Rai TV.
February, 2009- Here's a little improv video shot in the rain last week with dancer Amy "Catfox" Campion. Music by Burbuja.
February, 2009- I heard about the "Best Job in the World" a little while ago, realized that only about a 'few' tens of thousands of people would apply for it, so figured it'd be a good idea if I did as well. The gig would include six months in the Great Barrier Reef, filming, photographing, blogging, and exploring... not bad, eh?
Here's the video, it contains a few of my favorite moments on the road (when cameras were rolling that is) crammed into 60 seconds:
January 11, 2009- Filming with Rai TV at the Golden Globes.
December 20, 2008- Spec spot created (with writers/actors Deena Adar and Kai Collins) for Aquafina wins first place on GeniusRocket.com. Be on the lookout for the web viral to be released in early 2009.

July 30, 2008- And... back in Italy again wrapping things up at FABRICA. After a year and a half I have to bid farewell to this beautiful country. The experience hasn't been without it's difficulties though, as showcased in my latest sketch "Sorry... I'm Still Learning Italian."

Mission Accomplished
A little more than about 13 miles and 5 hours later... we succeeded in walking the length of Manhattan, started in the Bronx and ended in Battery Park. It was fun walking and talking with some friends, seeing the changes from neighborhood to neighborhood, mile after mile but even more fun to kick my feet up after it was all over.
Yeah, I'm sure glad to have that goal checked off my weird things to do while living in Manhattan list. Here's a pic from the end, with a really really really really really really really small Statue of Liberty behind us and to the left of the photo.

Thanks Brian for sending the pic/diagram to me, I'll make sure to wear a hat next time I babysit.

My Dean Martin & Giuliani conspiracy theory
Ever hear the conspiracy theory that if you watch The Wizard of Oz, wait for the third lion's roar, and then hit play on Pink Floyd's "The Wall" album, that the rest of the movie is perfectly in sync with it? Never tried it, but heard it works pretty well (although I'm not sure of the sobriety of my sources as they tried it).
Well, after today I'm fully convinced that in a similar fashion (but completely sober)- if you start at the south end of Central Park in NY, wait for the signal to start blinking "walk," and hit play on the song "All I Do is Dream of You" by Dean Martin while strolling down 8th Ave.... that the entire city is completely synced up to it. I'm sure Giuliani had something to do with it, but have no conclusive evidence as of now. As I do more research and fit more Dean Martin songs with different neighborhoods I'll let you know my findings.
If you are to try it on your own, the most important part is to "stroll" and not "walk." Lose that detail, and the theory is bust.
-Brad
P.S. I heart NY
