Brad Hasse made his commercial directing debut on a campaign for the World Health Organization. Living in northern Italy at that time, he was part of the prestigious FABRICA fellowship program, where for a year and a half he collaborated with other directors, photographers, musicians, and designers from around the globe on international campaigns as well as independent projects. At most FABRICA brainstorm sessions, you could find at least one representative from every continent, giving him invaluable experience for creating content in a rapidly shrinking world.
Brad first came to the industry during the beginning of the digital “one-stop-shop” era. For the Travel Channel, he directed, filmed, produced, edited, and hosted episodes for “Not Your Average Guide.” This skill set has allowed him the opportunity to work with such clients as MTV Networks, Current TV, RAI, United Colors of Benetton, Aquafina, Yahoo!, travel the world filming the band NHOI on their Asian and European tour for their full length DVD, interview thinkers, politicians, and artists such as Al Gore and Youssou N’Dour for StockExchangeofVisions.org, and for fun create his own projects, both docs and fiction, being shown everywhere from Silverdocs to Hermosa Shorts (Saatchi & Saatchi LA) to BoardsMag.com.
His recent venture into the world of music videos came with a premier on Stereogum.com as well as Video of the Day on Spinner.com for the song “The Glow” by RJD2.
Brad has worked and lived in Treviso, New York, Phoenix, Los Angeles, and plenty of hotels, tour buses, and huts in over 20 countries spanning five continents. All of this has allowed him to watch Walker, Texas Ranger starring Chuck Norris in many, many foreign languages… and little things like that make Brad happy.
Holding citizenship in both the U.S. and Italy, Brad will be focusing on the American and European markets over the next few years, but as always, welcomes projects worldwide.
